Why use this pdf to excel
Bank statements, GST invoices and price lists often arrive as PDFs, but to total a column or find a transaction you need a spreadsheet. Copying a PDF table into Excel usually puts everything into one column. This converter reads where each piece of text sits on the page, finds the rows and columns, and writes a proper Excel table, with amounts as numbers.
It works on PDFs that contain text. Scanned pages are read with OCR, which is slower and needs checking. Always compare totals with the original before using the numbers. To make the PDF editable instead, use PDF to Word.
- Numbers you can add upAmounts like ₹1,23,456.50 become numbers in Excel, not text.
- Multi-page tables joinedA statement that runs over many pages becomes one table, with repeated headers removed.
- Excel or CSVDownload .xlsx with bold headers and filters, or a plain CSV.
- PrivateYour statement or invoice is read in your browser. Nothing is uploaded.
Questions people ask
How do I convert a PDF bank statement to Excel?
Add the statement PDF, keep “All tables in one sheet” and press “Convert to Excel”. Rows that wrap onto a second line are joined back to their transaction.
Is it safe to convert my bank statement here?
The PDF is read in your browser and is not uploaded to H View or anyone else. Close the tab when you are done.
Why are some columns merged or split?
Columns are found from where the text lines up. If two columns sit very close together, they may join. Try “Every line as a row”, or fix it in Excel.
Can it read a scanned PDF?
Yes, scanned pages are read with OCR. Check the numbers carefully, because OCR can misread digits.
Does it work with password-protected PDFs?
Remove the password first by opening the PDF with it and saving a copy without one.
