How to use the Image Resizer

  1. Add imagesDrop or choose one or more images.
  2. Choose a sizePick a preset, type width and height, or scale by a percentage.
  3. Choose the fit“Fit” keeps the whole picture, “Fill and crop” fills the frame, “Stretch” uses the exact size.
  4. Resize and downloadSave each image, or all of them as a ZIP.

Why use this image resizer

Every platform wants its own image size. Instagram crops posts to 1080 × 1350, YouTube thumbnails should be 1280 × 720, and application forms ask for passport-style photos at a fixed size. Uploading the wrong size leads to awkward crops or rejected forms.

Pick a preset or enter your own numbers. The passport (35 × 45 mm) and exam photo (3.5 × 4.5 cm) presets are set at 300 DPI, the usual print quality. After resizing, the Image Compressor can bring the file under a KB limit.

  • Ready presetsInstagram post, portrait and story, YouTube thumbnail, WhatsApp DP, LinkedIn banner, passport and exam photos.
  • Smart crop“Fill and crop” fills the frame from the centre with no empty bars.
  • Batch resizeResize a whole set of photos to the same size in one go.
  • High-quality scalingUses your browser’s best smoothing for sharp results.

Questions people ask

What size is an Instagram post?

A square post is 1080 × 1080 pixels and a portrait post is 1080 × 1350. Stories and Reels covers are 1080 × 1920.

What is the passport photo size in pixels?

A 35 × 45 mm photo at 300 DPI is 413 × 531 pixels, which is the passport preset here.

Will resizing make my photo blurry?

Making an image smaller keeps it sharp. Making a small image much larger can look soft; use the AI Photo Enhancer for that.

What is the difference between Fit and Fill?

Fit keeps the whole picture and adds a background where needed. Fill and crop fills the whole frame and trims the edges.

Is it private?

Yes. Resizing happens on your device and no image is uploaded.
