Why use this website technology detector

Knowing what a site runs on helps when you plan a redesign, hire a developer, study a competitor or check that your own plugins and scripts are what you expect. Websites leave public signs of their technology in file paths, tags, cookies and server headers.

The detector reads those signs from the home page or any page you enter. Some sites hide them on purpose, so a short list does not always mean a simple site, and items marked Likely are a strong hint rather than proof.

  • CMS and site buildersWordPress, WooCommerce, Shopify, Wix, Squarespace, Webflow, Joomla, Drupal, Ghost, Blogger and more.
  • Frameworks and languagesReact, Next.js, Vue, Nuxt, Angular, Svelte, Laravel, Django, PHP, Python, Node.js, ASP.NET and others.
  • Server, CDN and hostingNginx, Apache, LiteSpeed, Cloudflare, Vercel, Netlify, CloudFront and more.
  • Certificate detailsWho issued the HTTPS certificate and how many days are left.
  • Evidence for every itemNo guessing in the dark: every result shows what it was based on.

Questions people ask

How does the detector know what a site uses?

It looks at public signs: the generator tag, file paths like /wp-content/, framework markers in the HTML, cookie names and server headers such as Server and X-Powered-By.

Can it tell if a site uses Python or PHP?

Often, yes, from cookies, headers or the CMS. Many sites hide the language, and then it shows “Not visible” instead of guessing.

What does Likely mean?

The sign is strong but not certain, for example Tailwind CSS class names or a CDN header shared by several services.

Is it legal to check another website’s technology?

The tool only reads the public page that any visitor’s browser receives. It does not log in or test for weaknesses.

Why did it find nothing?

The site may hide its signs, block automated visitors or load everything with JavaScript after the page opens.

From the H View blog

H View SEO tools read public web pages the way a search engine does, through a small reader on hview.in, and follow each site’s robots.txt. Reports are made in your browser and are not stored. Results show what the page says about itself; only Google Search Console shows how Google actually treats your site. Use them on sites you own or have permission to check.
